3 Week Challenge, Day 7

One week down! Wooohoo!

Passage:
Matthew 7 ( Judging Others, Ask, Seek, Knock, The Narrow and Wide Gates, A Tree and Its Fruit, The Wise and Foolish Builders)

Memory Verse: "21Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, 'Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?' 22Jesus answered, 'I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times" -Matthew 18:21-122

Notes: (v.1) do not judge, or you too will be judged
-(v.3) don't look at the SPECK of sawdust in your brother's eye when you have a PLANK in your own eye!
How often do I do this?
-(v.7) "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened"
-If a son asks for bread, who will give him a stone? How much more will God give good gifts to those who ask him!
-Do unto others what you would have them do to you
-(v.14) But small is the gate and narrow the ROAD that leads to life, and only a few follow it
Its not just about entering the small gate; its about following the narrow road that leads to LIFE!
-(v.15-20) recognize false prophets by their fruit, for "a good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit"
-(v.24-27) build your house on rock so that it may withstand rain, streams, and winds
Foundation of rock (v.26): put His commands into PRACTICE
What am I building my faith on?
