Matthew 28

Last chapter of Matthew! Wooh!

Passage: The Resurrection, The Guard's Report, The Great Commission

Memory Verse: "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth" -2 Timothy 2:15

Notes: (v.1-4) When Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb after the Sabbath, a violent earthquake came and the angel of the Lord came down and rolled back the stone. The guards shook and became like dead mean in their fear
-(v.5-9) The angel said to the women to not be afraid for Jesus has risen. The angel said to go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee.
-(v.9-10) The women met Jesus on their way, and they fell at his feet and worshipped him.
-(v.11-15) The guards went into the city and told the chief priests what has happened. The elders gave the guards money and bribed them to say that the disciples came and stole Jesus at night.
-(v.16-20) The eleven disciples went to Galilee and saw Jesus. Some worshipped Him, but others doubted. Then Jesus said to them, "All authority in heaven has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of age."
