Psalm 15, 365 DAYS OF LOVE #254: SILLY BANDZ & COOKIES

MEMORY VERSE: "Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength." Nehemiah 8:10

NOTES: LORD, who may dwell in your sacred tent?
   Who may live on your holy mountain?
 2 The one whose walk is blameless,
   who does what is righteous,
   who speaks the truth from their heart;
3 whose tongue utters no slander,
   who does no wrong to a neighbor,
   and casts no slur on others;
4 who despises a vile person
   but honors those who fear the LORD;
who keeps an oath even when it hurts,
   and does not change their mind;
5 who lends money to the poor without interest;
   who does not accept a bribe against the innocent.
   Whoever does these things
   will never be shaken.
Upon reading this passage, I was trying to reflect on how I compare with the person that is described here. I think the things that I seem to struggle with more is in v3-4: "...and has no slander on his tongue....who despises a vile man but honors those who fear the Lord, who keeps his oath even when it hurts." I've found that I sometimes break promises to do things more often than I'd like to admit, which is a poor reflection on my character. It's definitely something I need to work on.
ALSO...I was challenged today in Sunday School to commit something to God. I decided that this year, I would commit to praying for two Non-Christian friends per week. I think regularly thinking and praying about them would also remind me to be more bold in my faith, and to make more of an effort to reach out to them. Please pray for me as I pray for them! & Pray for any non-Christian friends that you know as well! :)

ACT OF LOVE: Today, I passed out peanut butter cup cookies (left over from New Year's Eve) and glow-in-the-dark silly bands (elastic stretch bracelets) to people at church!
