Psalm 73 (III), 365 DAYS OF LOVE #261: MEETING A FRIEND

MEMORY VERSE: "Surely God is good to Israel to those who are pure in heart. But as for me, my feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold." Psalm 73:1-2

NOTES: ²³ Yet I am always with you; 

   you hold me by my right hand.
²⁴ You guide me with your counsel,
   and afterward you will take me into glory.
²⁵ Whom have I in heaven but you?
   And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
²⁶ My flesh and my heart may fail,
   but God is the strength of my heart
   and my portion forever.

 ²⁷ Those who are far from you will perish;
   you destroy all who are unfaithful to you.
²⁸ But as for me, it is good to be near God.
   I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge;
   I will tell of all your deeds.

My favorite is verse 26: "My flesh and my heart my fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." This just further emphasizes how weak we are and how powerful He is! "I can do all things in Him who gives me strength" (Phil 4:13)
I also like the verse before it: "Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you." Ultimately, God is our greatest treasure and desire. Nothing compares to being with Him!

ACT OF LOVE: During the time between service and Sunday School, I went up with my friend Danica and introduced myself to someone whom I've never met before. After talking to her for a while, I found out that she went to CMU, which is one of the schools I applied to! She was super nice and offered to help me with architecture since she has alot of friends who did the program there. :) Love & get loved!
