NOTES: 1 May the LORD answer you when you are in distress;
may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
2 May he send you help from the sanctuary
and grant you support from Zion.
3 May he remember all your sacrifices
and accept your burnt offerings.[b]
4 May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed.
5 May we shout for joy over your victory
and lift up our banners in the name of our God.

6 Now this I know:
The LORD gives victory to his anointed.
He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary
with the victorious power of his right hand.
7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
8 They are brought to their knees and fall,
but we rise up and stand firm.
9 LORD, give victory to the king!
Answer us when we call!
(v.4-5) When our desires align with those of Jesus', He will give us the desires of our heart.
(v.7) Trusting in God as our strength seems to be a running theme throughout many of the Psalms. It's really emphasized how it is through GOD that we can "rise up and stand firm" (v.8). By juxtaposing the worldly mindset of the wicked with the humble focus on God for the righteous, the need for God in my life seems all the more evident.
ACT OF LOVE: I sent a random text to three of my friends encouraging them in their walks of God and asking for any prayer requests!
Also, my first full day without facebook on my new facebook fast. I'm not sure exactly how long I'm aiming to fast for--probably until 2nd semester ish. I just know that I feel convicted to dedicate my time to better things. I only have a few months left as a high school-er, and I'm determined to not waste it on facebook!
