PASSAGE: Jesus Prays for Himself, Jesus Prays for His Disciples, Jesus Prays for All Believers
MEMORY VERSE: review
NOTES: (v.1-5) "Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent."
-(v.6-19) Jesus prays for His disciples: that they will be protected by the Father so that they (we) may be one as Jesus and God are one. As Jesus no longer remains in the world, He prays for the Holy Father's protection.
"I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one."
We are sanctified by truth!
-(20-26) Jesus prays for all believers: that they may be one just as the Father and the Son are one.
"May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me."
ACT OF LOVE: Today, was the Sealbearer's Reception that the juniors had been coordinating for about a month now. Even though I sort of had to help out, I tried to be loving by coming extra early and being as helpful (in coordinating, cleaning, setting up, etc) as possible. Also, I tried to wait until everyone had a piece of cake before I got one myself during the refreshments.
