Luke 17, 365 DAYS OF LOVE #10: PRAYER

Passage: Sin, Faith, Duty, Ten Healed of Leprosy, The Coming of the Kingdom of God

Notes: (v.1-10) Memory verse review: "If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, 'I repent,' forgive him."
Have faith like a mustard seed, and "you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea' and it will obey you."
-(v.11-19) Jesus healed ten lepers on his way to Jerusalem, after which he commanded them to show themselves to the priests.Only one of them came back praising God loudly after he was healed. When he returned to thank Jesus, Jesus asked where the other nine were. Then he said to the man, "Rise and go; your faith has made you well."
-(v.20-37) The kingdom of God will not come in accordance with the predictions of the people; just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People will be eating, drinking, marrying, buying, selling, planting and building. "But whoever tries to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it."

ACT OF LOVE: Since I had relatively little human interaction today (block scheduling/AP tests, etc), I decided that I would love by spending a good chunk of time just praying for people, albeit in fellowship, school, family, or any random person I think of. Small, but significant, I think. AP season has got me pretty occupied, but I have few ideas for future days (some inspired by JAESONMA.com)! Hopefully I'll be able to carry them out once all this school-hubbub is over.
