Luke 22, 365 DAYS OF LOVE #15: SHOPPING CARTS

Passage: Judas Agrees to Betray Jesus, The Last Supper, Jesus Prays on the Mount of Olives, Jesus Arrested, Peter Disowns Jesus, The Guards Mock Jesus, Jesus Before Pilate and Herod

Memory Verse: "As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received." -Ephesians 4:1

Notes: (v.1-6) The chief priests and elders were looking for a way to get rid of Jesus, and Satan went into Judas, who went to the priests and discussed how to betray Jesus. The elders agreed to give him money, and he watched for an opportunity to capture Jesus.
-(v.7-38) The disciples prepared a Passover meal for Jesus, and when it was time to eat, Jesus told the disciples of what was to come. He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it to the disciples to drink in remembrance of him. The cup is the covenant in his blood, which was poured out for us
He then took the bread, gave thanks, and gave it the the disciples. The bread is his body given for us, which will be broken in remembrance of Him.
Jesus then predicts Peter's denial of Jesus, and prays that Simon's faith will not fail.
-(v.39-46) Jesus went to the Mount of Olives and prayed, "Father if you are willing, take tis cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done." He prayed so earnestly that his sweat was like drops of blood. When he went back, he found them sleeping and told them to pray so that they will not fall into temptation.
-(v.47-62): Both Judas and Peter betray Jesus: Judas approached Jesus with a crowd and kissed him, but Jesus knew what was about to happen. After Jesus had been arrested, Peter was recognized by people three times as being a follower of Jesus. Each time, Peter denied it. Immediately after the third time, a rooster crowed and he remembered Jesus' words.
-(v.63-71) Jesus was taken before the council of elders, and they asked him if he was the Son of God. When Jesus confirmed this, they saw this as sufficient reason to convict him.

ACT OF LOVE: Today, I went to the Korean Market with my mom to buy some groceries and some snacks for a few friends who were coming over to plan some stuff. Afterwards, I offered to put the shopping cart away. When I got to the shopping-cart-holder place (you know the place in the center of the parking lot with like, 2 bars to make rows of carts?) I saw that most of the carts were gathered AROUND the two bars, but they were not in a line and obstructed part of the driveway. So, I decided that I would line up all the shopping carts into their proper place, similar those of the picture below (I didn't have my camera handy).
