Luke 21, 365 DAYS OF LOVE #14: PATIENCE

Passage: The Widow's Offering, Signs of the End of Age

Notes: (v.1-4) Jesus saw a poor widow put in two small, copper coins amidst the rich putting in their many gifts into the temple. At this, Jesus tells the people that this widow gave more than anyone else because she gave out of her poverty.
-(v.5-38) Signs at the end of age:
Warnings against false prophets: many will come in His name, claiming to be the Christ. Do not follow them. When you hear rumors of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened for the end will not come right away.
Nation will rise against nation; kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, famines, and pestilences, as well as fearful events
They will persecute you and bring you before kings and governors in account of Jesus and being a witness to him. You will be betrayed by family and friends, sometimes even to the point of death, but you will gain life.
When Jerusalem is being surrounded by armies, you know that its end is near.
Nations will be in anguish, and men will fall from horror. There will be signs fro the sun, moon and stars. The Son of Man will be seen coming in a cloud with POWER and great GLORY.
When you see these signs, know that the kingdom of God is near.
Be careful so that your hearts will not be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the anxieties of life.

ACT OF LOVE: Today, my act of love was to just practice patience with everyone I interacted with. For some reason, there were many little things that happened today that potentially could have been small annoyances, but I decided to keep a joyful and patient attitude with everything and everyone! Whether it be giving the Starbucks worker a smile and nice attitude when she almost messed up my order/took long making it instead of being annoyed, or not getting irritated when my computer lagged or when I was slightly late in the morning (one of my pet peeves), I tried to be joyful and loving throughout the day!

ALSO, even though I said yesterday that I would stick the encouragement notes into people's lockers, I instead stuck them on the windows of random cars in the Starbucks/Albertsons parking lot. I distributed them before I went to get my coffee, and when I came out I saw a lady who had received one of my notes. She stood there for a few moments, just looking at it. Confused. HAHA <3
