Ephesians 6, 365 DAYS OF LOVE #141: LETTERS

PASSAGE: Children and Parents, Slaves and Masters, The Armor of God, Final Greetings

MEMORY VERSE: "In your anger do not sin. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry" Ephesians 4:26

NOTES: (v.1) "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right."
(v.4) "Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in training and instruction of the Lord."
(v.7) "Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free" (Colossians 3:23-24)
(v.11) "Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."
(v.14) "Stand for with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the berastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace....take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."
(v.18) "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests."
(v.19) "Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should."

ACT OF LOVE: Today I wrote two letters to two of my friends who are out-of-state for college! I wrote on super nice stationary and bought pretty envelopes for them. I included stickers and some Bible verses for encouragement. Will send them out tomorrow or next week!
