Philippians 3, 365 DAYS OF LOVE #144: MOM'S BDAY

PASSAGE: No Confidence in the Flesh, Pressing on Toward the Goal

MEMORY VERSE: "Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life--in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing" Philippians 2:14-16

NOTES: Memory verse review! "But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the suprassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish that I might gain Christ and be found in Him, not have a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that comes from God and is by faith. I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain the ressurection from the dead." (v.7-11)
(v.14) "I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
(v.20) "But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagery await a Savoir from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body."

ACT OF LOVE: Today, I suprised my mom with a beautiful boquet of flowers and a gift card to Pottery Barn (which is like her favorite store) for her birthday!
Also, as I was walking to Vons, a homeless-looking man asked for the time. On the way back, he was still there. I didn't have anything to give him but a smile on his face and an encouragement :) He face brightened and he chuckled!
