Galatians 5, 365 DAYS OF LOVE #134: FLOWER

PASSAGE: Freedom in Christ, Life by the Spirit

MEMORY VERSE: "Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ." Galatians 1:10

NOTES: (v.4) "You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope."
(v.6) "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love."
(v.13) "You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rahter, serve one another in love."
(v.14) "The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
(v.19-26)  "The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God."
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. Against such things there is no law."

ACT OF LOVE: This act of love is similar to yesterday's. After lunch, me and my mom stopped by the farmers market and saw that they were selling sunflowers for like, half the price of what we bought them yesterday. My mom bought some to arrange at home, so I took one to give to one of my neighbors! I rinsed out my boba cup, taped a lid from one of my other drinks, put some plastic rocks inside, filled the cup with water and stuck the flower stem through the straw hole! I also made a card that had an encouragement and Bible verse on it, and tied it to the flower. I put it on one of my neighbor's doorstep, and left it there for them to discover :)
