Galatians 6, 365 DAYS OF LOVE #135: LOVING MOM

PASSAGE: Doing Good to All, Not Circumcision but a New Creation

MEMORY VERSE: "Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ" Galatians 1:10

NOTES: Memory verse review! "Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ" (v.1-2)
(v.7) "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life."
Memory review p2: "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people; especially to those who belong to the family of believers" (v.9-10)
(v.14) "May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation."

ACT OF LOVE: Today at lunch, I had the option of going to Cheesecake Factory with a whole bunch of friends after church, or eating with my mom. Though I had initially intended on going to Cheesecake Factory, I decided to accompany my mom for lunch so that she wouldn't have to eat alone, especially on a beautiful Sunday. During lunch, I did the best I could to serve her--I poured tea for her, served her rice, and purposefully ate the "worse" parts of the chicken (the rear..the feet, etc) so that she could enjoy the juicy, meaty portion of it. Later that day, I made dinner FOR THE FIRST TIME so that she wouldn't have to cook for me (&did the dishes after)! It was just fried rice, but still....baby steps :) I'm slowlyyy learning to cook.
MMMMMMMM!
